Verizon Wireless announced a new library of customized talking ringtones and sound clips, and an online multiplayer poker tournament at the BREW 2004 Developers conference this week. The new content is available at the carriers Get It Now virtual store for downloadable applications.
Teaming with dotPhoto, the developer of the popular Pictavision application for mobile phones, Verizon Wireless launched Ringtalker, a collection of more than 100 unique, customized talking ringtones and sound clips through which Get It Now customers can browse and preview samples. The sound bites consist of different categories, such as funny quotes, crazy characters and sexy voices.
Glenn Paul, CEO of dotPhoto, said the aim of the application is to give users phones personality by customizing their ringtones with fun phrases, greetings or unique sounds that let them know exactly who is calling.
Customers with select Get It Now-enabled Judi Online24jam Deposit Uang phones, including the Motorola T720 and Audiovox CDM-9500, can download the Ringtalker ringtones for $1.99 for one ringtone, $3.99 for three ringtones or $7.99 for eight ringtones.
On another front, Verizon Wireless has teamed up with multi-player game developer Atlas Mobile to launch Holdem Poker+ for Prizes. The application allows poker enthusiasts to compete in multi-player tournaments against other players right from their Verizon Wireless Get It Now-enabled mobile phones. Some tournaments give customers a chance to compete to win prizes.
Holdem Poker+ for Prizes is different from regular hold em poker in that players are on a time limit to pick their cards to build their best hands and block the virtual opponents. Points are scored by creating hands and winning the pot as quickly as possible. If a player picks a card that was also selected by another player in a current or previous round, the players are both blocked and dealt cards that have no value. The game ends when all hands are completed or time runs out.
Earlier this year, Verizon Wireless and Atlas Judi Online24jam Deposit Uang Mobile announced the availability of Tetris Tournament for Prizes. Since that time, more than four million multi-player tournament games have been played on the Verizon Wireless network.
